In the fourth episode of the “Insights from OVERLEAF’s experts” series we have analyzed, together with Noelia González from AIMEN, the OVERLEAF disruptive low-pressure liquid hydrogen (LPH) storage system.
Starting from the advantages and benefits of this particular technology, the discussion has then emphasized the challenges of developing advanced materials for hydrogen storage in aviation applications, concluding the interview with a detailed description of the insulation methods adopted in OVERLEAF.
“The material development will be a key in this project” says Noelia, “because it will compromise what OVERLEAF can deliver to the industry”.
